Birthday Party!!!

Prenatal Classes with Emily Clark 

We have a new 6 week block of classes commencing next Monday (14th May) at 1pm with Emily Clark. This class is suitable for ladies in all stages of Pregnancy. We have a limited number of places so please Book ahead. Only $99 for 6 sessions. Call 0459990492 or 62237553 to book you place.

Commencing on Wednesday May 23rd Emily Clark will be taking a Reformer Xpress class at 6.15am. This class runs for 45minutes and will give you the kick start you need for your day. Book your spot now!

Kate's Muesli Slice

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup dried apricots, diced
  • 1 cup sultanas
  • 1 cup craisins (optonal)
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1/4 cup sunflower kernels
  • 1/4 cup slivered almonds
  • 1/4 cup sesame seeds(optional)
  • 1/4 cup plain flour
  • 60g butter or margarine
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup milk

Method:

In a large bowl mix together the oats, sunflower kernels,flour,apricots and sultanas.

Melt the butter or margarine, honey and brown sugar in the microwave for 1 minute and add to dry ingredients. Stir in the egg and milk until well combined.

Press into a greased and lined lamington tin and bake for 15 minutes at 180 degrees C.

Cut into slice when cooled. Enjoy

East Africa Fundraising Success!

Thankyou to everyone who supported the fundraiser for East Africa. I am thrilled to announce we raised $2025 towards this amazing cause. As we said at the breakfast we are supporting two charities. The first is the Bethlehem Community Centre which provides homes for orphans in Kenya. The money will go directly to these children and will help to feed them as the cost of food keeps rising due to the drought. If you would like to become a regular supporter of the children in these orphanages please email Christine Bennett, bandc@netspace.net.au.

The second organisation which we are supporting is UNHCR Australia which helps to provide emergency relief and assistance for refugees who have been displaced by conflict and violence. If you would like to make a further donation to UNHCR please visit their website http://www.unrefugees.org.au

Also we have a fabulous new group of Thursday Mat members who have already done one session with Mary. We hope you feel welcome and are enjoying your classes at PilatesPlease.

 

WANTED – Models

AS you all know the website is now up and running. www.pilatesplease.com.au. In a bid to make the website look super exciting I want to get some action shots and videos. If you have always wanted to be famous now is your chance to shine. I am getting a professional photographer to come in to the studio sometime in the near future and I am looking for willing participants who wouldn’t mind posing for some shots. If you are willing to give up half an hour and your beautiful body please let me know what times and days might be suitable for a little photo shoot! It will be fun I promise with a large glass of wine at the end.

Benefits of Stretching

Did you know that having greater flexibility and Range of Movement in your hamstrings and hip flexors can reduce the stress on the spine that causes lower back pain? This is just one benefit of stretching along with

We have a fantastic stretch class that runs on Thursday evenings at 5.30pm. This class has become really popular to the point where it is almost always a full house. We are looking at adding another stretch class to the timetable on Monday mornings at 7am. Please register your interest for this class and if we get enough numbers we will look at running a 6 week block starting October 17th. This class will be open to the public aswell as members. There will be no set up required so let your friends know about the benefits of stretching and register your interest today!

New class times

You are probably all aware by now that we have a few class time changes. Tuesday 8am class has changed to 8.30am and Friday morning is now 6.30am and 7.30am. We will trial these for the next month and see how they go. Please feel free to provide feedback as to how these classes are working for you.

I have had a lot of people ask me about this recently and I have come up with the perfect solution.
